WORD REFERENCE

"Word Reference is an online translation dictionary (Wikipedia, 2018)."

We strongly recommend that you use word reference when you need to search for a translation. It allows you to search for the context of a word. For example, if you look up the English word "strike", do you mean to go on strike? or to throw a strike in baseball? or maybe a bowling strike? or do you mean to strike an object? With word reference you can choose which one you are referring to.

bon patron

"Bon Patron is an online grammar and spelling checker for French

(Wikipedia, 2018)."

Students can copy and paste their written work into the website and receive instant feedback. The website indicates spelling mistakes and offers suggestions for how to fix grammatical errors.

quizlet

"Quizlet is a mobile and web-based study application that allows students to study information via learning tools and games (Wikipedia, 2018)."

We post flashcards here for all units of study. Students can do activities and play games that will help them learn and master unit vocabulary. We also use the 'live' option in class for students to work and learn together.

Kahoot

Kahoot is game-based learning website. Students are given a code to log in to a whole group multiple choice game. Students are given a question and then answer the question on their own device. This is a great way to review vocabulary or units of study.
